EPDM Features
EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer), which RONTEIX uses to manufacture radiator hoses, coolant hoses, heater hoses, thermostat hoses, water pump hoses, and industrial applications, has physical and chemical properties as follows:
- Temperature resistance: From −50°C to +150°C.
- Ageing resistance: Excellent resistance to ageing, including UV and ozone.
- Flexibility: Tough and highly flexible.
- Chemical resistance: Good resistance to acids, alkalis and salts, as well as to hot water and coolant. However, prolonged contact with petroleum-based lubricants, petrol, diesel or hydrocarbon solvents is not recommended.

Radiator Hoses
EPDM is widely used in automotive radiator systems to transport coolant; it is the optimal choice for original equipment manufacturers (OEM).
Heater Hoses
EPDM material is used by automotive manufacturers to produce heater hoses, the purpose of which is to carry hot coolant to the heater core and warm the passenger compartment; its main advantages are low cost and high production efficiency.
