Functions and Advantages
Silicone hose reinforcements (polyester, aramid, fibreglass, and wire) are combined with silicone rubber to enhance its flexibility, temperature resistance, tensile strength, burst pressure, flame retardancy, and vacuum resistance, and are widely used in the automotive and industrial fields.

Polyester-reinforced Silicone Hoses
Polyester mesh fabric is the most widely used reinforcement material for silicone hoses. It offers good tensile strength to improve burst pressure, excellent temperature resistance from –50°C to +180°C, and can withstand short-term temperatures of around 200°C. Cost-effective and reliable, it is commonly combined with silicone rubber in 1-ply to 5-ply constructions. It is suitable for radiator hoses, coolant hoses, heater hoses, water hoses, and low- to medium-pressure applications.
Aramid-reinforced Silicone Hoses
Aramid mesh fabric is used as a high-performance reinforcement material for silicone hoses requiring excellent heat resistance. Compared with polyester, it provides higher tensile strength, superior burst resistance, and better high-temperature performance. It can withstand continuous temperatures from -40°C to +220°C and short-term peak temperatures of +250°C to +260°C or higher. It is ideal for turbocharger hoses, charge air cooler hoses, intercooler hoses, boost hoses, heavy-duty truck hoses, and motorsport high performance silicone hoses.

Fiberglass-reinforced Silicone Hoses
Woven fibreglass fabric offers good breaking strength and resistance to extremely high temperatures. However, it is slightly less flexible than polyester. Its operating temperature range is from –70 °C to +260 °C, and it can withstand temperatures of up to +300 °C or even higher for very short periods. It is widely used in applications such as turbocharger hoses, food conveyance and industrial exhaust systems.
Wire-reinforced Silicone Hoses
The combination of steel wire and polyester reinforcement enhances resistance to burst pressure and vacuum pressure, helping the silicone hose maintain its shape and prevent kinking. It is commonly used for turbo intakes, heavy-duty engine air intakes, marine exhaust systems, and large-diameter industrial hoses.
