Neoprene Rubber Features
Neoprene rubber exhibits the following characteristics in terms of standard temperature resistance and standard resistance to oils and chemicals:
- Temperature resistance: −40°C to +120°C.
- Chemical resistance: it is resistant to common fuels, oils and chemicals, but its performance is slightly inferior to that of NBR, HNBR, ECO and FKM, and it is not suitable for many strong solvents.
- Ageing resistance: its resistance to high temperatures and long-term ageing is not as good as that of silicone rubber, EPDM and FKM.
- Weather resistance: it offers excellent resistance to ozone and weathering.

Applications
As neoprene rubber has relatively average temperature and chemical resistance, we primarily use it for the manufacture and application of hoses in normal temperature environments across the following industries:
- Automotive A/C Hose: Mainly used for the compound layer of inner tubes or hoses.
- Refrigerant Hose: Used in ambient temperature conditions or environments at a few degrees below zero.
- HVAC Hose: Primarily used for various HVAC piping systems and covers.
- Industrial Air Hose: Used in industrial ventilation systems operating at ambient temperatures.
- Compressed Air Hose: The advantages of using it in compressed air hoses are its flexibility and high pressure rating.
- Air Duct Hose: It is designed to withstand air, dust and conventional oil, as well as high pressure.
