How Heater Hose Works？
Vehicle’s heating system is crucial in cold weather. You might be curious about how RONTEIX heater hose works. Here is a short explanation:
- As the engine runs, it generates heat, which is absorbed by the coolant.
- The heated coolant flows through the heater inlet hose into the heater core located inside the dashboard.
- A blower fan forces air across the heater core’s tubes and fins, warming the cabin air while cooling the coolant.
- Coolant then flows back to the engine cooling system via the heater outlet hose to continue the cycle.

Heater Hose vs Radiator Hose
Heater Hose: RONTEIX heater hose connects the engine to the vehicle’s dashboard, transporting high-temperature coolant to the heater core to provide warm air to the cabin. Heater hoses consist of an inlet hose and an outlet hose and are typically manufactured as straight or molded hoses. Made from EPDM or silicone, heater hoses feature a small diameter.
Radiator Hose: Radiator hoses transport coolant between the engine and the radiator to dissipate heat. In some cases, bulk heater hose can be used as a substitute for molded heater hose. If the OEM molded heater hose features a simple routing with gentle bends, it can be replaced by bulk heater hose of the same inner diameter and temperature rating. However, if the original molded heater hose has sharp bends, multiple consecutive bends, or is located in a cramped engine bay, it cannot be replaced by bulk heater hose.
