Custom Formed Rubber Hose

RONTEIX offers various mandrel-formed rubber hoses at a competitive price, including S-shape, U-shape, elbow hose, multi-bend rubber hose and offset rubber hose.

Our factory can design and develop mandrels of different shapes according to vehicle models and drawings to fit the compact internal space of engines. RONTEIX utilizes a mandrel molding process to manufacture coolant hoses, heater hoses, air intake hoses, PVC hoses, turbocharger hoses, and fuel hoses.

If you are looking for a manufacturer who can customize rubber hoses with complex geometries and bend angles, RONTEIX will be your best choice. Contact us and send your drawings to us.

How to Form Rubber Hose

How to Form Rubber Hose?

  1. Machine stainless steel or aluminum alloy into smooth-surfaced mandrels based on 3D drawings.
  2. Incorporate vulcanizing agents, color masterbatches, and anti-aging agents into rubber raw materials (such as EPDM or NBR) to prepare the rubber compound.
  3. Extrude the compounded rubber to form the inner tube.
  4. Feed the rubber inner tube into a braiding or spiral-winding machine to apply a reinforcement layer of polyester yarn, aramid fiber, or steel wire.
  5. Pass the reinforced inner hose through an extruder again to apply the outer cover, providing corrosion and aging resistance.
  6. Cut the hose to the required length and slide it onto mandrels of various shapes. Mandrel release agent must be applied beforehand to prevent sticking.
  7. Place the hose assembly into a vulcanization oven at 140–180°C for a period of pressurized vulcanization.
  8. Immerse the vulcanized rubber hose in a cooling water tank.
  9. Inject high-pressure water between the mandrel and the inner wall of the rubber hose for easy demolding.

RONTEIX Hose Forming Mandrel

RONTEIX offers forming mandrels in a wide range of inner diameters and shapes. Most are made from stainless steel or aluminum and are designed for repeated use. These mandrels are ideal for manufacturing automotive coolant, turbo, heater, and radiator hoses.

Hoses produced using these forming mandrels feature precise shapes that permanently retain their intended curvature. Supported by the mandrel during production, inner wall remains smooth and resists collapse or suction-induced flattening under negative pressure. This process ensures a high degree of consistency in wall thickness, inner diameter, and shape across the entire production batch.

If you need to develop a new mold, please send RONTEIX 3D drawings or a physical sample. We can produce both the mold and the finished product within 5 to 7 days.
